The "Little Bandit" appears so sweet and innocent in her pretty Sunday
dress...until she brandishes her pistola and dares you to follow.
Painting Process
This version of "La Bandita" differs from the light, airy
watercolor version in many ways: first, the battered frame and glass
surface are antiques from 1928; second, the textured background was
achieved by layering various shades of red spray paint for depth and
topping it off with gold flake for subtle sparkle; third, the female
skeleton character was painted with bright, contrasting enamels for a
dramatic, shiny finish.
Paper Prints
The 8 x 10 and 11 x 17 La Bandita Calaca prints are produced with archival ink
on glossy paper and are perfect for those of you who prefer to frame your
art.
