El Mecanico is at it again--this time, wrenching on his kustom Merc.

Painted on a vintage Mercury Eight hubcap, this piece is a modern take on the traditional "skull and crossbones" tattoo motif. The background was achieved by alternating layers of metal-flake red and metal-flake purple spray paint, while the skeleton character and filigree edging were painted with 1 Shot, which is the same medium pinstripers use to detail their cars.
