Draggin' Ass

Two naughty tequila runners try to make their way across the desert under the cover of darkness dressed as mariachi, but their donkey doesn't like the idea any more than he likes being customized with pink fuzzy dice.

Painting Process
The background desert scenery was painted with a mix of blue acrylics and then flash dried to create a nighttime haze. The underpainting was created with a variety of gouaches, while all of the line work was created with blue 1 Shot enamel, which is the same paint pinstripers use to detail cars. The entire piece was clear coated and then mounted in a 1930s Ford grill shell affixed with a 1950s Ford truck emblem.
