Friends in High Places

Just a typical day in the life of the mutual admiration society.

Painting Process
The 22 x 30 clayboard was painted with Earthy acrylics to create a warm backdrop for the armored mammal and his fine feathered friend, and then light touches of grey were used to block in the rhino, while blue and red were used to form the oxpecker, also known as a "tickbird" for the critical role it plays in preventing bugs from biting his buddy. Dark brown 1 Shot Enamel was used to finely detail the symbiotic species and then the surrounding wood was painted, carved, distressed, stained, and adorned with natural fibers to complete Lozeau's vision of a simple, rustic African frame, bringing the final measurement to 28 x 43.

Paper Prints
The 8 x 10 and 12 x 18 Friends in High Places prints are produced with archival ink on archival paper and are perfect for those of you who prefer to frame your art.

Canvas Prints
The ready-to-hang Friends in High Places canvas prints are produced with archival ink on museum-grade, gallery-wrapped canvas and extend 1.25 inches off the wall, so there's no need for a frame. There are several sizes available and each limited-edition giclee is signed and numbered out of only 40 Artist Proofs. Please allow up to three weeks for delivery of canvas prints, as they are custom-built at the time the order is placed.
