The Harder the Conflict, the More Glorious the Triumph. - Thomas Paine

Painting Process
The 18 x 24 canvas was painted with blue and purple acrylics to create an airy background for the 1970s British motorcycle, the form of the bike, goggles, and rosary were painted with white gouache, and then all of the dark detailing and line work was painted with dark blue enamel. The wood frame, measuring 25 x 37, was built, stenciled, sanded, and stained by David to mimic the appearance of a Triumph shipping crate.
