A brave Marine leans out of an MRAP and fights insurgents to protect his base and brothers.
The 36 x 48 aquaboard was first painted with a variety of beige, yellow, and brown acrylics to recreate a desert base. The MRAP and soldier was painted with gouache and then finely detailed with dark brown enamel. Lozeau built the frame from new wood and then stained, stenciled, and aged it to achieve a battle-worn, militaria feel.
This painting was a special commission to honor fallen Staff Sgt. Jonathan Davis; you can read more about him and his family here.
The 10 x 8 and 18 x 12 On Patrol prints are produced with archival ink on glossy paper and are perfect for those of you who prefer to frame your art.
The ready-to-hang On Patrol prints are produced with archival ink on museum-grade, gallery-wrapped canvas and extend 1.25 inches off the wall, so there's no need for a frame. There are several sizes available and each limited-edition giclee is signed and numbered out of only 40 Artist Proofs. Please allow up to three weeks for delivery of canvas prints, as they are custom-built at the time the order is placed.
