The Scarab Beetle

Painting Process
The 24 x 12 clayboard was painted with yellow and green acrylics to create a bright backdrop for the stout insect, coordinating gouaches were used to form the wings and body, and dark green enamel was used to finely detail the Egyptian icon. The wood frame was built, distressed, and stained by Lozeau, bringing the total measurement to 32 x 20 x 3.

Paper Prints
The 18 x 12 The Scarab Beetle prints are produced with archival ink on archival paper and are perfect for those of you who prefer to frame your art.
