A Royal Air Force pilot steadies his Spitfire as he goes head-on with a German Messerschmidt above England during WWII.
The 24 x 14 aquaboard background was layered with acrylics, the underpainting was created with various colors of gouache, and dark green enamel was used to finely detail the WWII-era sky battle. Lozeau then built the custom frame with new wood that was aged, painted, stenciled, and stained it, bringing the total measurement to 39 x 28.
The 18 x 12 The Spitfire prints are produced with archival ink on glossy paper and are perfect for those of you who prefer to frame your art.
The ready-to-hang The Spitfire prints are produced with archival ink on museum-grade, gallery-wrapped canvas and extend 1.25 inches off the wall, so there's no need for a frame. There are several sizes available and each limited-edition giclee is signed and numbered out of only 40 Artist Proofs. Please allow up to three weeks for delivery of canvas prints, as they are custom-built at the time the order is placed.
